S.O.T.D Saturday 1st July - Friday 7th July

Thursday

Olive Oil Soap and Man Cave Olivestone Facial Scrub
Cyril R Salter Wild Rose Cream
Vulfix Medium Synthetic Brush
ES Claymore V2 on a Windrose P2 Handle
Proline -P (#3)
Alum Block and cold water rinse
GFT Coral Skin Food
Midnight Rose EDT

Post night shift shave. Shortly after I got home and went to bed, my neighbour decided to dig up his patio. For the past 3 hours it has been Chinese water torture....only with a sledge hammer. I gave up trying to sleep in the end. I am afraid it will be an early night for me :(

Went for something light today and got a BBS with 3 passes. The Prolines are definitely not as sharp for me....but they are smooth and even after 15 hrs...stubble was barely noticeable .

Thursday 7/6/17

RazoRock Preshave Gel
Maggard Marble Synthetic brush
Italian Barber Italy 1955 soap
Fatip Gentile razor
Rapira Super Stainless blade
Thayers Unscented witch hazel
RazoRock The Stallion aftershave
Aveeno balm

I know that feeling well about inconsiderate neighbours when working night shifts..I sympathize for you, at least you had a good shave to compensate, for your lack of sleep..;)

Thursday...

Cream - Santa Maria Novella Crema
Brush - RazoRock Plissoft 24mm synth.
Bowl - Steve Woodhead Ceramics
Razor - Schick Injector E2
Blade - Schick Injector (ex China)
Post - Thayer's Rose Petal and Aloe Vera
A/s - Alt-Innsbruck EdC

First outing for the SMN. I used a finger sized snurdle and worked it into a fine lather in the bowl. Quite thirsty though. But the resulting lather was thick, slick and provided excellent glide for the Schick.

Scent-wise, it has a memory of Proraso, but the basenotes are different. Lovely stuff. It also has the consistency of Proraso croap (almost); so next time I'll load the brush and hydrate when face lathering.

Thanks @Blademonkey and @mpf9ret for the advice on ordering the Proline blades from Japan: they're on their way...at a reasonable price, considering.

Evening gentlemen,
A very hurried affair today as we suddenly decided to go out for lunch (for we read she)
So the osp orange and patchouli was next in the rotation, unfortunately I just can't seem to get on with osp, always seems to dry out on my face even when I make the lather too wet. But most people love them so it's got to be a case of user error.
The Rockwell was set on 3 again with the persona blade, only did a hurried two pass which was surprisingly effective with no irritation and one tiny weeper.
Rockwell razor
Persona blade #2 and last
Osp orange and patchouli soap
Omega boar brush
Tabac lotion.

Merkur 37C with a slightly mellowed Feather Hi-Stainless on its 2nd outing. Notably, this is the Merkur 37c's second outing for me also, and boy! What a razor! It makes effortless the act of shaving with no tugging whatsoever. The sublimely sharp blade coupled with this slanty beasty gave me an irritation free shave, free from nicks, weepers or any other ailments!

The lather was stupendous - I made a real effort of whipping up a lot with tonight's shave and it fared me so, so well. Small splash of Extro Bay Rum and no sting whatsoever.

In short, I am loving this razor. Onto the next one, chaps!

Pre: Edwin Jagger Pre Shave Lotion
Brush: Omega 20102
Razor: Gillette Super Adjustable
Blade: Treet Carbon (2)
Soap: Ingram Shaving Cream
Post: Boots Tea Tree WH, Nivea 2 Phase & Alcolado Glacial

Anticipating a scorching day went for a cool shave indeed! Found a sample of Edwin Jagger pre shave and give it a whirl, very nice it was too. Not usually a pre-shave kind of person. The Ingram whipped into a great lather, just what was needed for today. Again no issues with blade in the razor, perfect shave. Nice refreshing post shave feel.
