Dug out my old silvertip brush (not used for years) and thought I'd take the Boots Super Stainless blade for a spin with the Fair Coffee shaving soap.

This soap doesn't smell of coffee. Not even a bit. Has a lightly nutty smell probably from its ingredients. I also couldn't get anything but a washing-up-liquid lather from it, even when I switched to my trusty Semogue boar.
I gave up and used 3P which was excellent.

The Boots blade is sharp but not as smooth as the English Wilkies which is where this blade may have been made.

L'Oréal balm (not pictured) to soothe the skin after a disappointing shave.

For months now I've been hearing about the Karve Overlander, I didn't pay it much attention because I have a Karve razor with all the plates in SS and then I noticed how everyone was saying what a smooth razor it was and generally singing it's praises.
I do believe that it was @Digimonkey who had posted a brief outline of what the Overlander was all about, so I asked him about it and he gave me the lowdown on this razor!
Enough said as far as I was concerned, nine out of ten cats can't be wrong! :)
Well I've just had my first share with the Outlander and I couldn't be happier, it was smooth and yet so efficient, so smooth, it was like Feather AS-D2 on steroids!
The fit and finish of this razor is astounding, seriously, the finish is flawless, it has a serial number and year date on the underside of the cap and Karve Shaving Company and made in Canada on the underside of the baseplate, it clamps the blade so tightly that soapy water can't get in, we are talking about very high tolerances here, this razor could stand next to a Wolfman razor and hold it's own, I'm super impressed!
The shave was nothing short of fantastic and yes, I'm sure the MWF had a lot to do with the outcome, smooth supple skin and one happy shaver!

Three day wortha whiskers are finito! Squeaky smooth face with this razor/blade combo and just about the last of my favorite sandalwood soap, made by Charles 12-14 years ago.

The current Yatagan is an intensely woody frag and has good sillage and is long lasting. Caron has some very good prices for what you get.

A comfortable shave with a razor that is older than I am for a change.
The last vintage TTO Gillete I used was a Fatboy, a few years ago.
This one performed pretty good on 36 hours growth.
Noble Otter soap and splash are always a pleasure to use.
