Exclusive: A hands-on, first look at the Blackland Blackbird razor

If you send Fedex - or other courier, presumably - they will automatically take the razors to UK Customs and we will get hit definitely. An additional 20% plus a handling fee - ouch. If you use USPS, there's a chance of parcels not attracting the interest of Customs.

That is so ridiculous. I've been reading up on international shipping and the extra fees that the buyer gets hit with are criminal. I'm using USPS so hopefully the packages will sneak by.

Wow! So thirty odd a day from one machine, let's guess the same for top caps and who knows how long per handle. That sure drives the cost of a razor up!

Lol yes. And there is still deburring to be done after this operation. Figure roughly 40min to an hour per razor total. Not including the dozens of hours in setup and programming. There is good reason why machined stainless steel razors cost so damn much.

Have you seen the most very excellent all stainless DE razor that has just come on the market at $40? I think they have dispensed with all this machining malarky, much as did that very famous KickStarter cast razor failure whose name eludes me. I have one upstairs awaiting new plates in September past.
