Back to the OP: given your water, Tabac. Woolfat is the better soap in my opinion, but seems to have caused more trouble for more people than any other.

Godrej shaving round is a brilliant soap. When used with a boar, it's no fuss super slick lather.

I also use Tabac stick, it's decent too. The smell is quite strong. I don't mind that though.

Talking of which is Tabac easy to find and cheap in Germany? My Niece has just moved over there.

I have found it can be easy to find most of the non soap range but for the soap itself, the bowl soap can be found in the big in-town department stores and the shave stick in some chemist type places.

However pricewise, there is not alot of difference to be fair. Anywhere between E12 and E15 for the bowl and soap - so you are probably better to get it from one of the UK stores - i prob will when i run out! However, get your Niece to keep her eyes out as sometimes there are special offers or deals where the price is considerably lower - but these are relatively rare :roll:
