For one who had a low opinion of colognes and the like when I first entered these halls of enlightenment, I seem to be growing my stock of smellies and taking much more of an interest. Not quite a Fragrance Acquisition Disorder yet but it seems to be starting down that road. Of course, enablement and monkey bequeathing on here have nothing at all to do with it.
So, my small stock stands at:
1 1/2 30ml bottles of Paul Smith London EdT, an old favourite.
1/3 of a 4oz bottle of vintage Shulton Old Spice cologne ( a monkey from El Martino )
1 100ml bottle and 1 30ml bottle of my new discovery, Arran Aromatics Bay Citrus EdT
1 1/2 100ml bottles of Blue Stratos EdT which is cheap as chips but really good.
1/2 a small sample bottle of Givenchy Xeryus which I'm rather taken with.
1 100ml bottle of Mr Taylor's cologne - I wish it lasted longer on my skin.
Others I've tried and enjoyed and would not have even sampled were it not for the generosity of fellow members are:
Jacomo de Jacomo
Caron Yatagan
D R Harris Windsor EdT
Taylor's No.74 Victorian Lime
James Bronnley Original EdT
Others that pique my interest are Trumper's Spanish Leather and their Ajaccio Violets, Taylor's Jermyn Street & D R Harris' Marlbourough. These would be at the upper level of my spending power though.
So, let's see your own lists, preferences and those that are on your radar. I look forward to a lot of reading. Methinks Vinny might need to contact a publisher first!
