What Soap?

I have 4 soaps available from the local area, without ordering online. palmolive shave stick, erasmic shave stick, boots shaving soap and wilkinson sword blue bowl.
I am using a straight razor.
What are the ups and downs of the above soaps. What do you recomend?

I believe the wilkie blue bowl is awful

Palmolive is generally reckoned on here to be one of those unsung heroes who punch well above their weight. If you come across any Turkish newsagents or barbers they may be able to put you in line for an Arko shaving stick. Another inexpensive champ if you don't mind the scent. (Some like, some hate).

3rd that - particularly if you prefer a soap that does not reek of industrial strength soap!

I'll say grab a stick of erasmic as well as the palmolive if you can it lathers well and smells decent and like the palmolive its good value for money i got the last few sticks out of my local home bargains for 42p each...

my ma goes over every year on hols, i will ask her to buy me a pressie.
