Sorry for your loss.
Every day for the last few weeks has been a crap one after my wife and partner for 54 years suddenly found she had a terminal illness, and died within a month. The ultimate crap day of my entire life will be on the occasion of her funeral tomorrow.
I'll decide after then whether to shave off the beard I've grown, but it'll be a "pretend normal" for the rest of my days, for sure.
