Anyone here know owt about tortoises?

I'm about to get one and could use few pointers.



(And, yes, "Tortoise Tips" does sound the world's worst racing pundit.)

Or Torture and Terror, as the US version is called. ("Hi, I'm new to waterboarding and looking for some tips to improve my technique" or "Extraordinary rendition vs indefinite detention without trial: the pros and cons." You get the idea.)

Sometimes you get handed something and there are so many ways into it you just don't know where to start...

I thought people weren't allowed to keep tortoises as pets any more in England?
