I could never justify spending £350 on a Simpsons brush, nice though they may be. The money could be used to buy a guitar which would give me pleasure for more than 5 minutes a day.

I actually got the Polo 10 for $140 and the Polo 12 for $165 through St James of London who had them on a deep discounted sale price.

Not just that, but they are the grey box era Simpson brushes with the awesome best badger knots.

Just ordered a Milk Churn in butterscotch, a Keyhole 4 and a Major, all in best badger directly from Simpson. Which rounds out my Simpson collection, I am now done buying anymore brushes.

They're very different. The SiLVERTiP is similar in backbone (but slightly less) with softer tips. Not gel tips but certainly softer than Manchurian.

They're found in their natural habitat of Huddersfield but branded Mancs to appear trendier to the unwary buyer.

Have you tried Simpsons synthetic brushes? If so, I wonder what you think. I've come to prefer Synthetic.
Gentler, doesn't need preparation, and dries quickly.
