I am more than satisfied with the budget Simpson brush - the Simfix. I fail to see what else I could want from a brush.

If you mean the Progress Vulfix Grosvenor 404 ('The Bodger'), I'm with you all the way! Think I paid under a fiver for mine. Punches way above its price tag.

I once owned a Vulfix 404 and loved it. It felt just like using my other badger brushes and I couldn't tell that there were boar bristles in the knot.

I find Simpson shaving cream leaves nothing to be desired. The only other creams that I consider using are TOBS and Nivea tube cream.
The Nivea is superb, yet costs £1.49 in Home Bargains.

Their creams are some of the best. The lime version smell just like Truefitt & Hill's West Indian Limes as a matter of fact.

I could never justify spending £350 on a Simpsons brush, nice though they may be. The money could be used to buy a guitar which would give me pleasure for more than 5 minutes a day.
