Great to hear that the Muramasa is performing well, love the design and the signature golf ball dimples.I bought one of these and now the internet needs to know what I think about it.

Razor: Tatara Muramasa
Blade: GSB (1)
Brush: Simpson Trafalgar T3 LE
Soap: Stirling Piacenza
First shave with the Muramasa. I went in to this with open eyes - neutral expectations. I had a couple of days growth so stated on the max setting of the Muramasa given the mild reputation it has.
Verdict after shave 1 - great! It's an unusual feeling - a heavy Tatara. I say heavy, it's not Rex or Pearl heavy. It's well balanced and looks fantastic. The dimpled grip is just as effective as it is on the Masumune. Setting 5 proved to be ideal. It even felt comfortable enough to deliver a third pass for me - not many razors work well ATG for me.
It's the first shave with a new razor that has initially impressed me so I won't gush too much during this honeymoon period. Looking forward to the next shave.
It is certainly that. 14 days to Christmas, by the way.Damn! I secretly wished you wouldn't have such a positive first experienceIt now just makes me want it even more.
I strongly believe from an aesthetic and engineering point of view this razor to be one of a kind.
Please don't feel you need to wait for me to wrap up. All thoughts and opinions on the Muramasa are welcome here. Post away.I've got one, which I bought in August, and it's a nice razor in every respect, with some foibles all its own.
It'll be interesting to see further reports from @Boycie83, and, perhaps after that, I may be permitted to add some of my own observations.
You don't need to wrap it first before sending it my way for Christmas! Please don't feel you need to wait for me to wrap up. All thoughts and opinions on the Muramasa are welcome here. Post away.
It is a bit niceIt looks like with every shave this razor is getting closer and closer to having a permanent residence in your den.

If I momentarily park my salesmanship, I don't think this razor is your type. I think you'd find it too mild. I need to give the Nodachi and Masumune a go after this for a comparison but if my memory serves me correctly, setting 5 on this razor is still milder than a Nodachi. And I will wait for Chris's January sales
