This was my second use of this soft soap from Italy, the first time I used too much water and didn't get a great lather but this time I was able to get a good lather, for the money it's a good enough soap but it doesn't stand up to my other soft Itallan soaps like Panama 1924 or Mondial but then again they do cost a little more, maybe this one I will put on BST!
A good close shave was had and I was left with baby smooth skin, just how I like it!
Untill the next time,
Paul.
It's not a bad soap at all and for the money you could say it was very good but if you are used to using the top tier Italian soft soaps you may find it doesn't quite do it for you! When I started wet shaving my 2. buy was a Mondial soap. They where pretty good as I recall, but it's been years since my last visit. I really like Mondial soap and I really like Panama 1924 by Boellis, the soap I used today I just like! I couldn't see myself reaching for it if I had the other soaps to hand. Two of my favourite Mondial soaps are Tabacco Verde and Bergamotto Neroli, superb P.When I started wet shaving my 2. buy was a Mondial soap. Just a question about these Valet VC1 razors. They are described as "autostrop" and some of the examples on eBay include a long leather strop. Presumably you don't need to worry about that if you're using modern disposable blades? It is a joy to use these ancient razors and the Valet VC1 is no exception. A very easy mod to the blade and you are off and running. For what looks like an aggressive shaving contraption it gives a surprisingly smooth, comfortable, close shave. For me it is a little more forgiving than a 1912 and easier to use as there is a wider shaving range - if that makes sense (not as angle critical).
A last minute change to the post shave routine swapping the Barts for Floïd and i am glad i did, smelling very Mediterranean.
Stay safe and enjoy the rest of the day All
