Late shave for me today as I didn't get back home until late last night .The wife and I had a long weekend down in London visiting one of our daughters who has a flat in Dulwich.
Day time was spent around the city centre and the nights we ate and drank around Dulwich, Soho and Waterloo.

Used my own TNNSER 3D today, thanks to Arthur @ Electrif .Very light but used with a light touch it delivers awesomely close Shaves. This new one Shaves just as well as the loaner I used , and gives the best of my Vintage SE Razors a run for their money.

SOTD Monday 09 December 2019.

Pre-shave: Warm shower and Kiehl's Face Fuel Facewash.
Soap: Tree harvest - Juniper.
Brush: Simpsons Duke 2 - Best Badger.
Razor: Colonial Silversmith.
Blade: Sputnik (Day 3)
Post: D.R. Harris Skin Tonic, followed by Bioaroma Aftershave Balm
EDP: Captain Fawcett - Booze and Baccy.

A very plesant one pass shave this morning - WTG and a DFS finish. After yesterday's lathering disaster, I went streight for a face lather; while the Juniper soap is excellent in terms of glide, lubrication and post shave feel, it is not built to produce a thick protective lather. Having used the Highland Soap Company Juniper shave soap earlier this year, it had a similar consistency, leading me to think that Juniper oil does not build a thick lather?

The Silversmith continues to give exceptional performance; well built, comfortable and efficient. One of my favourite DEs.

All the best,

Chris

Razor: Merkur Futur (2)
Blade: Polsilver Super Iridium (4)
Post: Thayers Cucumber Witch Hazel, Antica Barbieria Colla Almond Oil Balm
Scent: Alt Innsbruck Cologne

Back home, and true to my promise, whipped out a mentholated soap to provide some relief from the current heatwave.
Shaver Heaven Arctic Mango is still in my top 5 soaps - I love everything about this soap.
Back on home turf and with the full prep, the shave was a dream. Three comfortable and efficient passes for a BBS result.
A secondary menthol hit from the Alt Innsbruck was a delightful conclusion.

Greetings,

Early morning shave.

It's only in the last few months i introduced myself to the clubman pinaud shaving soap. I personally find it has a gentle pleasant fragrance which isn't in your face, creates a protective lather in a short space of time, has great cushion & slickness.

A wonderfully smooth 3 pass + pick ups near bbs shave with no errors to report.

Finishing to the shave off with a generous Splash of Denim ASL.

My face is feeling super smooth & smelling devine.;)

Enjoy your day, ladies & gentlemen.

Razor: 1960 Gillette Fatboy #6

Soap: Goodfella's Smile Sea Citrus
Pre: Proraso White
ASL: Williams AV
ASB: Creightons ASB

A morning shave today and the Fatboy took down 3 days of growth with ease. Last night's shave was deferred as I went to watch my eldest's first nativity play. Worth missing a shave for and a lovely life memory made!

The Goodfella's Smile soaps always seem to pass under the radar and there's not much information on them. Shame as I find the performance good and the scents great. Good value for money as well. Another sleeper is the Creightons ASB. A nice cooling sensation and currently available for £1.50 on the Creightons website. I'm a big fan of it.
