And for this rather fine day my theme was 'The Captain and the General salute OSP'
And in respect to OSP and for the wonderful service they have provided, we at the Department of Shaving salute you.
The Office of razors - General Colonial
The Office of blades - Captain Kai
The Office of brushes - Sgt Razorock
The Office of Creams - Brigadier OSP (Vintage and retired from sevices......or possibly Not?)
Come on everyone, bring out your OSP products and show them the shaving world needs their goodies. It is a damn good job I have some 10 tubs of their creams (make that seven as my wife declared ownership of three tubs and there is no argument over the matter) which should see me good until the day Jame's has a rethink. Which should arrive three tubs sooner than originally anticipated.
The General. What can I say that I haven't said before about this joy? An absolute gem of a razor and delivers time after time. As smooth as a baby's bottom and equally so in its use. If you want in and out the bathroom quickly and efficiently then this is the baby.
Not as precise a shave as my Ikon SB but if you don't mind being premature then this is the razor to make things happen quickly. As someone said 'why is it that young men take so long over some things in life?'
Today was a new blade and as expected a few small weepers but nothing to write home about. But oddly enough I am quite happy to write to you lot about it. I do tend to find with SE blades they take a shave or two to settle down and the first shave is always on the 'not quite satisfactory' side of the story. The story being 'Snow White and the Seven Shaves'
OSP Vintage. One of those wonderful scents Jame's and his small company managed to dream up in the knowledge it would perplex and in the knowledge it would perform. It does so on both accounts. Shaving creams to motorcycle polishing creams. Jame's, I understand.
The Razorock brush is by far my chosen lathering machine and boy does it do so. With a handle like this I could mix concrete using this brush. Minimum effort for maximum output. Far better than arsey little handles made for grandchildren to mix bubble bath with.
So a wonderful close shave and as smooth as an eel in jelly. Or as smooth as the jelly if you so prefer. I guess better put as, 'an effing great shave'. Okay minus a few weepers Which I can forgive and reminds me, I must write home.
Be well one and all and may all your shaves be eely smooth.
And to OSP
Brass Colonial on the Bay. Do I, don't I? Here lies my quandary for today.
