...EJ DE89 on Custom Satin "bullet" Handle...

Nice drama free shave, very close and the Stainless "bullet" handle gives a great balance and feel to the EJ Head.
Nice job

Another very handsome handle, Lee. You should position it centre-stage in your photos. It looks like it fits in hand very well with weight balanced the end. I especially like the neck design.
Idea for an alternative name... the baseball bat.

After the usual 1-2 minute hot towel prep:

Savile Row with a huge honkin old knot
Schick F type/Schick Plus Platinum (NOS around 1990)
Wars SC
Royall Bay Rhum AS and more splashed on like cologne

Popped a fresh blade in the F and mixed up some Wars and went to shaving. I learned once again this cream is nothing special. I am kinda used to other things that work better, so that part of the shave was just ok.

Got through my third pass and something just wasn't right. Couple small red marks and not that comfortable like usual. I had made sure to watch as the blade was being loaded, but checked again and saw a nice little divot in one spot. Yep, got a bad blade, so that part of the shave was not so good either.

Heh, perfect shaving crap storm,

Martin

Stuck to same razor ,as on road by 7. 30. Nice easy shave with good results. Getting

Razor: GEM Contour

... getting any love for the Contour yet, Dick?

Greetings Paul

I really like the Contour, it's the Contour II that I dislike so much, I just can't get a decent shave from the Contour II without endless touching up, I have no issue with the milder SE's but the Contour II I find 'silly' mild, if it were just a tad milder it would not cut at all!

Of course that is just my opinion, I suspect the SE razor was already dead in the water when the Contour II, GEM's last razor was released but I wonder if it hastened their demise!

Regards
Dick.

Earlier that day...

Vulfix 404
Wickham Club Cola
Stahly head on bulldog handle
Early English Wilkie (2)
Pinaud Citrus Musk
Speick EDT

Blade not really effective on shave two so touched up with a disposable.

Art Of Shaving Sandalwood shaving soap
M&F 1/2 in Blonde Badger
ATT R1 Kronos
Personna Lab Blue (5)
The Real Shaving Co. Post Shave Soothing Balm

First use of TRSC balm that I picked up in one of the pound shops. Surprisingly good stuff and a real bargain!
