Mon 14th Dec.

Victoria PB Brush
Lea Menthol Cream
ER "Streamline"
Gem S/S [ 3 ]
Alum Rub/ Aqua Velva

As getting near end of the tube, was a bit generous with product. The result was an extra thick lather , which was also so slick , I could hardly feel the Razor ,but ended up with a very good shave.

I'm really loving what I'm seeing guys!

Martin de Candre Fougere
Ralph Lauren Safari both shaving soap and vintage juice
Malin & Goetz Vitamin E moisturiser

All VERY good products that I am such a big fan of!

RR Black Mamba/Polsilver
The Varlet Orion
Beaver Woodwright Queen Anne's Revenge
Lucky Tiger
The handle on this brush is terrific. The knot is a treat to use as well. The Beaverwoodright can hold it's own with any soap in regards to protection, slickness and post shave feel...and a great scent. A wonderful and easy BBS shave.

Bulldog Face Wash
Le Père Lucien 'Nature' Shaving Soap
Muhle Silvertip Fibre
Face Lathered
Rasoir Louis & GEM Stainless (1)
Single Pass - WTG (Slide)
Hot Rinse, Cold Rinse & Alum Wash
Witch Hazel Toner
Brut Original Aftershave
Jacques Bogart Signature EDT
Al Munawwara Musk Himalaya Attar (Wrists)

First shave with Le Père Lucien.

I also have Cédre & Patchouli, Rose de Pushka and had hoped to have the same tin of Traditionnel, but the supplier sent me the older style larger tin. Anyway ...

I tried a couple of test lathers with the soap and struggled to get a lather like I wanted. With a couple more, I've nailed it. The key is to load for longer than you might usually - I usually go with something like 10 swirls in each direction and then onto my face. These soaps seem to like longer, say 25 each way.

Lather is thick, slick and protective. Seriously good in-shave performance and post-shave very smooth indeed. The soaps are coconut oil based and also contain unsaponificated (is that a verb?) coconut fatty acids. Classic French soaps are also saponificated (again, is that a verb?) only with potassium, not a combination of potassium and sodium. That's an aside ...

It's a jolly good soap and I look forward to trying the others.

Prep - Shower / Woods Of Windsor Cedar Woods soap / Pre-lather / 3 min steam
Razor - Gillette Fat Handled Tech
Blade - Gillette Silver Blue
Brush - Vie-Long 04312 Cachurro Horse
Soap - Arko with Juniperberry EO
After - Frozen towel / Alum & WH Mix
Result - BBS+

Still sticking with the Tech for this month, it was time for the GSB again, in my opinion the sharpest of the really comfortable St.Petersburg bunch.
Enjoying the Cachurro brush as well, especially now the glue/solvent/horse has left it. I just left it in a lather of Arko overnight.
The skin issues I recieved from the "lower end" of the blade trial, are finally leaving my face to get on with life. A brilliant result again.
