Prep: Warm shower:/Nivea Men Power Shower Gel.

Pre:
Cold wet flannel to my face & head.
Palmolive Naturals Olive & Milk Bar Soap.
Brush: Brush: Yaqi 26mm Rainbow Brown Synthetic. (Faux Horse)
Bowl Lather.
Bowl: Tesco's Ceramic 'Cosmo' Side Bowl.
Lather: Nivea Men Sensitive Pro Ultra-Calming Liquid Shaving Cream.
Razor: (Face) Parker 55SL Semi-Slant. - Treet Dura Sharp. (D1)
Razor: Ever Ready 1914. (US) (brass) (Head/Dome) - Personna Gem PTFE SS. (D1.)

Post:

A new eclectic shave set up to start the weekend.

A wonderful performance from both the Parker 55SL and the E. R. 1912. The Parker 55SL is like all my other Parker DE razors has paired together with all of DE blades i have paired it up with. Some have been better than others, but all have given me acceptable results to date.

SE razors are such comfortable razors especially for head/dome shaving the thickness & rigidity of both the Personna Gem & Injector PTFE SS blades are fixed firmly with the SE design which eliminates blade chatter to the slightest. once you adjust to their shaving angle, they are a pleasure to shave with.

The Treet Dura Sharp Teflon coated is another very smooth efficient blade and another blade i should add to my blade rotation more regular.

A very close comfortable face & head shave with errors to report.

Finishing the shave off with a few small dollops of Nivea Men Replenishing PSB.

My face & precious swede are feeling smooth & smelling divine.

So this weeks theme is through the decades. I will be trying to match the razor and possibly soap if I can to the relevant decade (this is not an exact science).

It's the 80's/90's today. I couldn't match the razor but I think I got the smells right as I remember them back from when I had a fringe.

Another great shave from my Feather injector razor, the Feather blade is as good as the Japanese made Schick injector blade's.
A beautiful lather was produced from the Valobra soap, I really like this soap.
To finish off a little of the Baxter of California balm and then a bath in the wonderful Kouros and I'm very well shaved and smelling fantastic!

Decided for another day of fun with the Shield, as time was short this morning and I knew this was going to be an easy, efficient shave with the Shield. It didn’t disappoint and with the Feathers 7th use this was arguably my best shave yet! The initial sharpness of the Pro has dampened by now and it just seems to be producing smooth, spotless BBS shaves each use. The Seaforth and Shedeleven produced an excellent cushioning lather, so despite the rush this felt like a great start to the weekend!

I'm a little perplexed by the La Toja lather, it's a really thick and glossy one, but due to the mineral salts, my face feels incredibly dry at the end of the shave. I think it might be a soap for the hot summer months but a little too drying for the autumn/winter months.
The Euromax Platinum seems to be quite a nice blade.
