Prpep: Hot shower
Brush: Custom Neep/Pensoftheforest Desert Ironwood
Razor: Genco, Honor
Cream: Castle Forbes Lime
AS: Floid Blue
Strops: Neil Miller
Result: UBerclean :D

Fantastic shave, all over, but this one goes to Rod Neep - This brush can actually measure against my best Simpsons brushes, for me (all Rods brushes I've got are _very_ good, but my Polo and Chubbies has been in a league of their own, until now). The loft and knot (density, flow throw, backbone, softness of tips, size - I think it's 26 mm extra stuffed silvertip set a little lower than normal makes it perfect for me) combined with the wonderful handle just "does" it for me - Cheers Rod, much appreciated!!

Indeed - very sweet brush :)

Musgo Real glyce classic soap
Dubl Duck special No.1
Morris & Forndran stubby 2XL
Penhaligons Blenheim Bouquet Shaving Cream
Witch Hazel+
Penhaligons Exract of Limes Cologne

In need of a pick me up - this worked perfectly.

Gillette Sensor Excel (1)
Muhle Silvertip Fibre
Speick shaving cream
Simple Rich moisturiser
Diptyque Tam Dao edt

Travel kit. First use of a Sensor Excel - far preferable to the Mach3 imo and, probably, the Fusion ProGlide. A very respectable shave. I may need to buy a few packs of Sensor Excel cartridges if I see any.

Prep: Shower
Razor: Schick I1 Injector
Blade: Personna Stainless Coated
Brush: Vie Long 13061M Horse
Soap: La Toja Stick grated into a container
Aftershave: Astral Cream (light)

A just about perfect shave; whilst this razor is very gentle and easy to shave with, in three passes gives as near to a perfect shave as it is possible to get.

Regards
Dick.

After a week with Cella I felt the need of a soap with a bit of "Fire"

Razor: SSA 7/8
Brush: New Forest Tubby 2
Stick: Tabac
Balm: Tabac

Went to Mikael last night, and as always had a great time talking shaving, I got a chance to hone this razor with shapton glas 16k and finnished on 0.25 diamond spray, all i can say is i need myself a 16k, the ssa took a scary sharp edge. (i cut myself just looking at it) no but almost :)

Great shave.

My first SOTD post is my first shave with a straight after using DE for a few years.

Razor is a 11/16 Ator restored and scaled by Rob ( thank you )

Brush is my first brush I bought, it was sent from a nice man in the states and I love the deep butterscotch it's great for creams

Pre shave T&H oil
Simpsons cream courtesy of BigDuncan
Lathered in my Dirty Bird LTD Bill Bowl
Queen Charlotte Vostok Balm afterwards ( like it's name it's ice cold )

And a splash of Brut because despite only being 30 the scent reminds me of my father and his father.

Sorry the post is a tad long.

shave 2 of the new regime. the usual suspects -

*Erasmic shave cream
*Merkur 43C
*Isana boar brush

this time bookended with -

Speick soap face wash
Polsilver SI (1)
Alum bloc
Speick A/S
Boots freshwood balm
Quorum edt

1st pass was a bit scrapy which i find unusual for the Polsilvers but i soldiered on and a DFS resulted. I'm enjoying the erasmic cream - it's a solid workaday cream which builds a good lather.

Afternoon, all.

Saturday:

Prep: Claus Porto's Lime-oil face soap
Razor: EJDE89 with iKon Bulldog handle, shimmed
Blade: Rapira SS (1)
Brush: Ecotools Kabuki
Shave soap: Monsavon
A/S: Pashana Bay Rum
Cologne: Giorgio Beverley Hills

Good and close. A nice start to the shave week.

After the usual 1-2 minute hot towel prep:

Savile Row badger
Schick L type injector/Gillette Plus Platinum (1973 NOS)
Surrey SS (pre VDH reformulation)
Neutrogena oil free moisture (nice stuff actually)
Guy Laroche 'Drakkar Noir' EdT (vintage juice)

Figured I'd test drive the razor and blades, having just received em recently. I've used both items in the past many times, just not this particular razor or these blades from this year. The combo acted just as it should, which is very good.

BBS results,

Martin

Lovely comfortable shave. Really like the Red tip I may have to look round for a spare :icon_rolleyes: very easy to use with great results.
