YOU may take the St Michael but 1997 is a particularly fine vintage for apple sauce, it improves with age don't you know.

If only. I have one day a week and it's Tuesdays so here I am Googling rubbish and buying these

on ebay.

Another classic for the Vintage Groceries forum.

I visit a lot of elderly people and often manage to get some great stuff. A 1982 Nescafe mint / NOS. (Oh yes!) And some 1990 Oxo cubes (made *just* before they changed the packaging to the N112 version). As you can see I specialise in the D-Category (dessicated / dried / dehydrated stuff); a lot of the collectors are morning goods and cleaning products, but the prices on those have soared in recent years. E.g. about five years ago I saw (and passed on) a nice set of late 70's sauce bottles for only £2; that same collection recently sold for £3.35. And don't start me on the Matey bathfoam.

What are you into Tony? I might be able to send you some "extras" ;)

I'm on the lookout for a bottle of "vintage" Lee and Perrin's as it really does improve with age, otherwise an English Aristocrat Open comb would be nice.
