This is a VERY mild lather Catcher and requires going over and over a place to get velvet smooth so You aren't missing much and they are out there periodically. I'm near done.......famous last words. What are the 2 you're seeking ?Nice, I had this one in my watchlist but I let it go,... I'm done for the most part. There are two razors that I need and then I'm done.

I knew the one you meant as I was watching it tooI forgot the picture!
Not gonna say, but they are both DE Gillettes, and you don't see them often. Saw the remains of one recently and they wanted stupid money for it, I let that go too. This is a VERY mild lather Catcher and requires going over and over a place to get velvet smooth so You aren't missing much and they are out there periodically. I was just going to keep my eye out for you. If you want a private message me what they are I will let you know when I see them and not get them. If you're not the trusting sort and keeping your cards close to your vest happy hunting! Not gonna say, but they are both DE Gillettes, and you don't see them often. Hi Chris,Another one of those gorgeous razors in your collection. It looks light years ahead of its manufacturing date. Stunning
Can you imagine what it would cost to make that razor today? I'm not sure they could without using castings or plastics. My bad ... I thought I spotted "modified GEM" but that was indeed for another razor you used recently. Those original blades are lovely when you get them right. I was looking through my sold pictures for that late set and was reminded that the official late blades were indeed slim disposable steel with a round(ed) spine:
Detail on this late model razor:
The sliding clasp on this was VERY tight indeed!
To return to my comment on these old models, slide the clasp to the side allowing the plates to open and try out a de-spined GEM. You can operate the razor without sliding the clasp back into place, or if it's tad slopping it will go back. Notice the back corners have to be cracked off but otherwise, no actual modification of the razor itself.
