Nice, I had this one in my watchlist but I let it go,... I'm done for the most part. There are two razors that I need and then I'm done.

This is a VERY mild lather Catcher and requires going over and over a place to get velvet smooth so You aren't missing much and they are out there periodically. I'm near done.......famous last words. What are the 2 you're seeking ?

Not gonna say, but they are both DE Gillettes, and you don't see them often. Saw the remains of one recently and they wanted stupid money for it, I let that go too.

I was just going to keep my eye out for you. If you want a private message me what they are I will let you know when I see them and not get them. If you're not the trusting sort and keeping your cards close to your vest happy hunting!:ROFLMAO:

Razor: Ever Ready Shovelhead/1924
Blade: Gem SS
Brush: Fluffy Industries Copper
Soap: Vintage Gillette Shave Cream

AS 2: CFG Ghost Town Barber
Fragrance:
Consecutive Daily Shaves - # 1,059

The cream was gifted me by Jody and was a nice cream to use. Good protection and slickness with a pleasant scent. Thanks @IAmTheJody No Open Comb today but will be using a fair amount this month of OCtober. Got the ER Shovelhead in when a youtube viewer asked how it compares to the 1912. Had a great shave and glad to have it but it tends to hold water in the cap when you rinse it and runs down your face. Even that aside prefer the shave of the 1912. Both great razors and won't go wrong with either but 1912 for me is the preference. Find out for yourself which "floats your boat." My crummy boss (ME) is making me work a Friday to get ahead for camping beginning of November. Have a great day Everyone !!

Fri 1st October

Not used this Razor for a while, was NOS when I got it. Am sure that The Supply folk got some inspiration from this design. Could never get it to work with Schick Blades, but with a Personna it is an excellent Shaver.

The Personna Super Stainless Injector Razor- and Travel Case.

My bad ... I thought I spotted "modified GEM" but that was indeed for another razor you used recently. Those original blades are lovely when you get them right. I was looking through my sold pictures for that late set and was reminded that the official late blades were indeed slim disposable steel with a round(ed) spine:

The sliding clasp on this was VERY tight indeed!

To return to my comment on these old models, slide the clasp to the side allowing the plates to open and try out a de-spined GEM. You can operate the razor without sliding the clasp back into place, or if it's tad slopping it will go back. Notice the back corners have to be cracked off but otherwise, no actual modification of the razor itself.

Can you imagine what it would cost to make that razor today? I'm not sure they could without using castings or plastics.
