I used the Original Wilkinson sword blade. Needs some sharpening work though. My Pall Mall set takes the Gem blades but the Empire needs modifying. I have a email where a member describes making a holder that will hold an injector blade and attach but i haven't attempted it yet myself.

I was looking through my sold pictures for that late set and was reminded that the official late blades were indeed slim disposable steel with a round(ed) spine:

The sliding clasp on this was VERY tight indeed!
To return to my comment on these old models, slide the clasp to the side allowing the plates to open and try out a de-spined GEM. You can operate the razor without sliding the clasp back into place, or if it's tad slopping it will go back. Notice the back corners have to be cracked off but otherwise, no actual modification of the razor itself.

My first go with a 1930s Streamline ...
I say that, but I think I did have one right back when I first started collecting ASR razors and sold it on when I bought a cased version, not knowing what I had. I also think that because when I used my Streamline (all 1950s models) thereafter, I always felt just a little disappointed and put it down to my memory being so good because it was the first shave with such a thing.
Today, I recaptured that exhilaration! I shimmed the blade (by which I mean I popped an additional flattened blade spine underneath the spine of the blade) and it gave such a smooth shave yet had all the aggression that I remembered of the Streamline. The 1950s kinda feel muted somehow, but the 1930s is a real ride! I like the big holes in the baseplate, making lather clearing really easy by running it under a tap.
I put the 1930s Streamline on a par (for aggression) with the Yaqi SE, a razor which I feel lends the half DE blade format a real sense of the single edge.

I've used Schick B's and also The Chinese Schick blades successfully. I just grind a few mm's off a Ender's blade and it works as a holder for the Injector blade.Wonderful razors. The blades are pure genius:

Unfortunately, the vintage blades are not fit for purpose anymore, but injector blades will do.
Not all injector blades fit though. Proline B-20 blades are your best bet.
