Shaving Acquisitions Jan. 2023

Quick snap against the 10098 and the SOC:

As well as looking generally darker, there appears to be some difference in colour within the knot itself.

I've just ordered the same brush, I had one before and seem to remember being quite impressed with it and I love the weight of the resin handle. Getting back into my piggies!

Looks great, I love my Omega boar brushes!

It's almost impossible to say for certain but I think the new one's bristles looks like they have treated a little but not fully, or it could be bristles of a higher quality than the ones they use for something like the Wild Hog, which are partially bleached.

IMO, the knot looks of a higher quality than some of their lower priced ones.

Have had a sniff of everything (except the 3P which is still sealed and I won't open it till I can sort out some container(s)) .

The colognes have those kinds of unplaceable fragrances you get in hair products, apart from the lemon which smells exactly like the Duru Lemon I used to have. One of them is extremely strong!
Green is Olive, Brown is Tobacco, Yellow is Lemon, Pink is Cherry.

The shaving soaps all smell good although the orange seems quite weak and similar to the Summer Fruits (which smells as you might expect) and the lemon is very strong! The classic is along the lines of those colognes.
I'm likely to try the orange shaving soap tonight/tomorrow morning to see if the smell gets stronger upon lathering.

For some reason I wasn't expecting the 3P to be a 'croap' but that's not a complaint, just an observation.

Can anyone confirm if these Personna are the German made ones? They're the ones I wanted to try and I'm not keen on the Israelis but love the Lab Blue/Medical Prep.

They are the German ones. I was never too enthusiastic about the Israeli ones but I find the German ones to be sharper and smoother than the Israeli counterpart. I think it's a very good blade.

I look forward to your thoughts - these were on my list too so I'll hold fire for a couple of days.....

Fine L’Orange noir is one my favorite aftershave scents. I keep a bottle in my den and plan on getting another when I run out.

Have you ever tried the figaro aftershave before?

I’m just curious what the scent is like and how you think it compares to other aftershaves?

Looking forward to giving this a go!
With a bunch of recently purchased new shaving soaps and blades I want to get them done before I try both heads of the Piccolo SE with razor and soap combination I'm more familiar with.

Hoping that this Erasmic stick is good due to the tallow. For some reason I never got round to trying the stick when they were plentiful in Savers
