Tonight I decided to give the Weishi a go, after hearing a lot about it.. (not a lot of good I might say!)

Anyway, I loaded it with a Gillette Silver Plus that I had lying around.

Lathered some "Real Shaving Co. Sensitive" cream with my Simpson Beaufort B1.

Well, lets see.. if you want a mild shaver.. get a Weishi.. wow it's tame! Had to do many passes to get anywhere.
My shave is still not as good as a 3 pass with the slim, but I decided to give it up after a while.

A bit of alum, because I sort of got annoyed by all those passes, I nicked myself. (at which point I called it quits)
Nivea After shave Balm
And to top it off, a bit of Aqua Vella.

Verdict, this one will go in my travel gear (cause it has a little mirror in the box), it sort of works, but don't expect a BBS from this one.

Wring. 1min 55. 4 pass. Rework 1st. Thin 3rd.

Haven't been talking about my HSOTD's but have been shaving my head despite the lack of posts. No changes other than couple nicks here and there. Today 1 nick during once-over at back of my head.

I purchased Nomad at the Crabtree & Evelyn store in Boston 1st week of August. I was thinking the Sandalwood was in the sack, but Janet said she liked Nomad the best; $18.00 with wooden bowl. The Vintage Tube Key, $3.50. Checked the C&E site before posting and prices remain the same. I think it was $15.00 for the cream. R/Robert

So the Nomad prices in Europe are not that different, and the product is fairly widely available, which is good. The vintage tube key is fantastic, by the way.

I've had the Nomad balm as well, but for some reason it went bad after about 5 yrs, if I'm not wrong. First time a balm goes bad for me, but there you go. This 5-yr period included a 6 week summer transportation into a container from Asia to Europe due to repatriation (so you can't really blame the balm for going bad, though other newer balms and moisturizers in the same shipment didn't.)

Saturday - Day 22 of the trad shaving experience. Birthday Shave!

Ever-Ready 1912 pat razor
Gem blade (thanks JohnnyO)
Gold Dach soap - I like this one (thanks Rev-0)
Same old 'found in the draw' brush
Witch Hazel splash
Trumper's Extract of Lime Skin Food (thanks again JohnnyO)
Aqueous Cream

Smooth as you like!
