...I found the way you articulated how a Shark SS feels, resonated and thus purchased the Silver Star when you described same on the thread. It is a great blade at a great price - a double win. Thanks for signposting the Lord Classic (green pack), I will order in some now...I've been having a run through the Lord catalogue over the last few weeks and likewise, I am finding all sorts of differences in the blades. I agree entirely, the Shark Super Stainless is a wonderful standard blade which gives a very connected shave. I found the Silver Star to be a lot sharper and give a shave akin to the PermaSharp Super! Great shaves! ASCO, like you, I find a nice mellow shave.
If you're enjoying your run through the Lord razors, do try the Lord Classic (green pack).
Nice looking floorstandersNot familiar? It was my son's bread and butter when he was a kid. But hey it is worth opening the trap door to enter the lair of Satan

Friday 15th January
Wash with L'Oreal Men Expert Pure Charcoal Face Wash
Lather up with Shibden Woods & Semogue Taj (Boar)
Single pass shave with Muhle Rocca & Vidyut/SuperMax Stainless (1)
Hot rinse, cold rinse & Aramis Aramis Aftershave
It is with equal amounts of anticipation and apprehension that I tried this blade ...
Reputed to be bottom of the heap for Indian street barbers, reserved for the cheapest of shaves; in my mind it occupies the same space as the Treet Kala (Black Beauty). I gather it's good for one or two shaves and should very much be considered the economy blade of the range.
So, how was the shave?
Keen and smooth, and with that I'm not sure you'd really want anything else out of a shave. Granted it was in a Muhle Rocca which could probably tame a charging tiger (perhaps even a carbon Tiger?) but the shave was indeed a true single pass to give me a comfortable, irritation-free, smooth finish.
I am going to shave with it again tomorrow and I guess I'll judge from there whether it might be good for a third, but probably won't push it. I suppose I was sort of expecting something between Derby and the Treet Kala, but this first shave was very much up there with any good stainless that you might name randomly, certainly no worse (perhaps even smoother) than the London Bridge that I've just run through.
Not spectacular, nor was it in any way remarkable or memorable ... just a good shave. Enjoyed!
Can I please ask do you notice any play in the blade with your genesis ?
