I'm not really one for artisan soaps but I had a sample of this and even though I had a bit of irritation (happens all the time), the lather and scent of this was divine.

I'm actually looking forward to it,
i haven't had a lot of sandalwood but the couple iv had have been decent, Trufit & hill was a nice scent although it was a cream.
Just out of curiosity why don't you like Artisans ?
I'm quite lucky with the irritation part as nothing seems to trouble me. fingers crossed

i did fancy the dark matter myself although i can't really justify spending for the sake of it.Ordered old gold, sandalwood and dark matter, can't wait for these
i'm kicking myself now for not getting the splash but i'll see how the scent goes

No - that space was made by the DRH Sandalwood that went on Friday. This has made space for a Oneblade Genesis that was last week's impulse purchase.

Lovely. Looking forward to receiving my soap & splash. The soap will be a backup as I've currently got one in rotation. In answer to a previous poster, the scent is not like the musky character of Proraso, but subtler, more refined. It has a touch of the classic tones of Imperial Leather to my nose, and I love it.

Not familiar with the Proraso soap/cream, but James's Sandalwood (assuming the scent hasn't changed) is one of the best ever scents, period!

Gave the wife the body stuff, and had a shave with the new sample, really like that scent.
Used the Sandalwood this morning, I prefer it to my Stirling Sandalwood, very nice indeed.
