I used the bath soap in the shower today - not much scent but OK. Not much scent from the uncreased shaving cream tube. Product moves about inside easily enough (but not runny) however when the cap is unscrewed the product at the opening has hardened. I squeeze and squeeze but it won't come out. I immerse the tube in hot water for a few minutes. Same problem. Then, SPLAT. The bottom of the tube breaks open and thick green-yellow snot-like shaving cream erupts onto my arm! I apply the thick shaving cream, which doesn't have much 4711 scent and smells more like the industrial-smelling Mem shaving cream from Israel - to my face. There are occasional small clumps but it lathers well, turning white as it does, and the shave goes well with a very nice blade.

SATURDAY MORNING

Gem Featherweight
Gem blade (2)
Culmak Jr brush
Woodhead suribachi of odd soap bits
Witch hazel

Second SE shave in a week and both have been excellent, though the Streamline seemed to be more aggressive.

I've read that a few people have crap shaves with the Streamline but it works very well for me, and is lovely to look at of course.

Hot flannel
Proraso Pre, white
NF 1901 brush, Speick stick
Weber polished, Personna Red (3)
Cold splash, alum block
Clinique post-shave soother

Been scrawping away too much over the last few days, so I decided to sacrifice some smoothness for no irritation. Result is a fine DFS and feeling good. Feels very smooth, in fact, but I suspect it'll get stubblier quicker.

Tomorrow will see the second half of my Speick vs Tabac face-off to see which will become my travel stick of choice. The majesty of Tabac vs the mystery of Speick... can't wait.

Sunday 10th March 2013
Prep: Shower
Razor: Ever Ready Streamline
Blade: GEM Blue Star Carbon
Brush: Vulfix 404 Mixed
Soap: Kent Luxury
Aftershave: Body Shop Macca Root Balm

An excellent shave, a little unusual as the Streamline and I are not always in 'harmony'.

This macca root balm from the body shop has a lovely feel and works well but the scent whilst not unpleasant is certainly 'odd' to say the least and different to the shaving cream.

Regards
Dick.

Liked IK way much more today, after using it like a shave stick. Good protective lather (not the best, but good enough), great skincare. Getting better with Feather, need to practice more often - chin is still a bit of an issue.
