Before I begin, just have to say Jamie, that is one hell of a good looking brush, the handle is stunning.

OK King Blighty's day.

Prep: Hot wash with dove soap.
Soap: Professor Blighty's Hyperion.
Brush: Grooming co. Synthetic Badger.
Razor 1: King Cutter 5/8 square point.
Razor 2: 1966 L2 Gillette Tech.
Blade: Super Max blue diamond titanium coated #3.
Strop: Westholme starter leather/hemp.
Post: Professor Blighty's Hyperion.

Nice 2 pass with the King Cutter, WTG and XTG, finishing with ATG with the Tech. The Professor lathered with ease and produced nice slick lather that the straight seems to like. SAS, but could have been better. The tech has been dried and returned to its box for safe storage. Will give one of my other DE's some much needed attention next time out.... Unless my Revisor turns up in the mean time.

Jim

Grapefruit, Gardenia & Guinness
Prep: Hot shower
Pre: Proraso pre-shave - sensitive
Soap: Grandstaff - Grapefruit & Gardenia
Bowl: Fine Accoutrements
Brush: Mervyn 24mm Guinness-effect silvertip
Razor: Merkur Progress @2, 1.5, 1
Blade: Gillette Rubie (2)
After: S.M.Novello Pomegranate AS, Limes Skin Food ASB

First use of this brush made by Mervyn and my first Silvertip. This brush certainly holds a lot of water. Luckily I scooped out too much soap so the soap was able to take it and make far too much lather. Great brush, I'm going to enjoy throwing all my soaps at it.
The pneumatic force of Gardenia scent detached my metaphorical socks! Even though the lather was very slippery I still managed to hold onto my Progress with its plastic tubing overcoat.
This blade just doesn't work well with this razor so the blade hits the bin tomorrow and I'll swap it for a Sputnik.

Enjoy your weekend, people.

Sheesh Brian, you have done it again,

Yeah, I noticed that set up in what looks to be in great shape. You must have a pretty wonderful Treasure Chest.

Heh, no telling what you come up with.

Thanks Martin !
I do keep trying for these rarer razors  I have about 20-25 razors that I haven't shaved with yet. Not all as rare as the one in today's shave.
I'll get round to using them all as time goes on
