Good to hear the blades have improved. I've only used the Proline's with The General and I prefer them to the Feather Pro's. I have used the Kai Captain Mild (No guard) in The General and really liked them, mild but smooth enough not to cause any irritation.
You should try the Proline in The General next. I've got an ATT SE1 arriving shortly on loan. I'll be trying the Proline with it too.
Thanks for the tag.
Cheers
Rob
My top SE blade so far is the Kai mild pinks, I'll try out the proline in the general next
I'll be interested in your thoughts on how the SE1 performs for you, it's my favourite razor.
Cheers
I'm a user of The Real Shaving Co products, have been since i started DE shaving, and have always found to get good shaving results with all the products i have tried...The post shave balm is excellent, probably one of the reasons why they don't get much attention in the forums is because people are "name snobs", not all..granted, because of the very reasonable cost of the products the "name snobs" consider it cheap and nasty, and wouldn't like other people on the forums to think that they are using so called "cheap products" because it's not a "so called higher bracket name brand shaving product", i myself don't care about such stupid nonsense, "a egg is a egg"..ok some are better than others, but they all do the same thing at the end of the day..The Real Shaving Company products are a good value for money product and give a good shave. So for that reason, i will keep buying them.Regards.24/05/17
Pre shave - Cien soap
Razor - DE89
Blade - Lord Super Chrome (3)
Shave Soap - Real Shaving Company Shave Cream
Brush - Omega 80265
Post Shave - Witch Hazel
After Shave - Nivea Sensitive Balm
Products by Real Shaving Co don't really seem to get much attention in the forums, their shave cream in usage seems to be very close to the Nivea Sensitive Shaving Cream which many are enthusiastic about and tbh I'm not sure I'd be able to differentiate between the two in a blind test! For the frugally minded UK residing frequenters of the forum, if you have a chance to pass the shop 'Savers' they have the 150ml RSC Shave Cream for little more than one of your shiny pound coins.
I've never tried the Pal Blue carbons. Always had consistently great shaves with the GEMs.
Brush: Omega 2012
Razor: Ever Ready 1912
Blade: Pal Blue Carbon (2)
Soap: The Shaving Shop Acqua di Florida
Post: Boots Tea Tree Witch Hazel, Aloe Vera Gel & Florida Water
Second use of the Pal blade and again I didn't feel like it was comfortable, the next time I use the razor I'll throw in a Gem blade to try it. The soap is an almost exact clone of the Florida Water but I think there is something in it that may not agree with my skin. Which would really disappoint me, my skin looked red and I don't think it was the razor. I'll try it again and failing that it will be on the BST. It cleared up in an hour, aside from that it felt a trouble free shave aside from the comfort or lack there of!

+ 1 on the Palmolive shave stick..a unbeatable shaving product for it's price IMHO..I'll pick up the balm the next time I can, thanks for the recommendation. I myself find one of the great pleasures of wet shaving are being able to enjoy the multitude of products at different price categories be it the 50p Palmolive shave stick (my benchmark soap irrespective of price) or boutique made razors, soaps and so on.
