Hot shower
Hot flannel
DR Harris Arlington cream scuttle lathered
Simpsons Colonel best badger brush
Weber POL with bulldog handle
Sputnik (3)
Cold rinse
Witch hazel
DR Harris Arlington aftershave

Comfortable shave, last for the Sputnik a sharp and efficient blade, I've had a small weeper somewhere an all 3 shaves from this blade but I still like them :icon_confused: different razor and new blade set up for tomorrow.

After the usual 1-2 minute hot towel prep:

Savile Row badger
'Webly'/Iridium
RL Safari SS
Boots AS Balm
Creed 'Aventus' EdT

In order to cut myself with this razor, it takes a complete lack of focus, coupled with a healthy dose of hubris. Bingo! That's what we got today.

Yep, one small divot outta my chin was bad enough, but then I went and gave myself a small zinger on my neck. Sheesh. This damn Webly frankenrazor is so easy to use that sometimes I get a little lazy. This'll make me pay a bit more attention next time.

BBS results,

Martin

Notes: Super speedy 1-pass shave. Reasonably close and felt very smooth. Could probably have done with another pass. I enjoyed cleaning and honing up this razor, despite a couple of small pits still on the edge.

French-tless02_zps7ff17ec6.jpg

I have to admire your honing skills Wai - this razor looks as though it has been worn down almost to the shoulder which must make it very difficult to maintain anything like a straight bevel. When I looked at it it seemed to be no more than 4/8" rather than the 11/16" you mention.

Razor: Futur
Blade: 7 O'Clock green (3 or 4, not sure)
Cream: Prorarso green
Brush: Some lofty Omega boar thing
A/S: T&H Trafalgar

Despite doing this for three years now, today was the first time I'd used Prorarso. Shave was fantastic, one of the best of the year, no need for any balm or moisturiser. The 7 O'Clock green would probably be my desert island blade. Have been faceturbating all day long and still smooth 12 hours later.

Saturday:
Hot water splash at sink
Aluminium Gillette Tech with Perma-Sharp blade
Erasmic/Palmolive shave stick hybrid
New Forest Badger brush
Barbershop Bay Rum

Normally shave with my Hd Rocket but tried the tech for first time today. Wow! If felt like a natural extension of my arm, so smooth, natural,no effort sort of shave. If it carries on like this the Rocket may be reduced to an occasional shaving role.

Well today's shave proved to be an excellent shave, and the very first for me with my NOS Heljestrand Le Duc, and my very first true quarter hollow grind, as most of my razors are either full or extra hollow, now it felt totally different but the outcome was exactly the same BBS.
