S.O.T.D. Saturday 11 th June to Friday 17th June 2016

Sun 12th June

Omega 11137 Boar
La Toja Cream
Schick I 1 Injector
Schick S/S Twin [ Japan- 5 ]
Alum Rub/Rinse Off
La Toja A/S Lotion

A somewhat unsuccessful shave ,whilst everything seemed to go smoothly the final finish was quite patchy.
Am wondering if the use of a twin blade with a cream, tended to clog up the razor though I rinsed it frequently. Seem to think that is why I had not rushed back to using it after the last outing.

The one where I carry on testing the PMB kit

PMB face scrub
Woodhead scuttle
Switchback 400 Duro brush
PMB shave cream with a drop of PMB cooling gel
Vintage WS blade
French "Kirby Wannabeard" OC
PMB cooling gel
PMB post shave balm
Avon Wild Country

This PMB system is so good. It's taken me a little longer to dial the cream in, but the whole system is very effective.

I do miss the variety of choosing a different soap everyday but this stuff does smell very good.

The "Kirby Wannabeard" is a nameless French OC with ridges on the top cap, on first use it's mild bordering on ineffective, but that is probably too hasty a judgement.

Wild Country is the great rediscovery for me. Vintage Avon FTW.

Hungover! So today will be a multiple cups of coffee kinda day!

What was in the menu for today's shave?
This morning we had:
For starter: glycerin soap, hot towels and proraso pre-shave.
Main course: a cream of TOBS coconut with a pinch of extra glycerin, ATT S1 Kronos, silvertip badger brush and Perma Sharp blades.
Desert : Alum block, Nivea Balm and Dior Sauvage perfume.

I cooked a pretty good shave, even if I say so myself ;)

This soap continues to impress me on how it performs. Can't wait for the release in whatever guise it becomes.
I'm also really starting to enjoy this razor, as today got an impressively close, irritation free shave.

Cheap Razor Test Shave No.4.

This time a world famous YUMA did its turns on my face.
This a rather very good and solid exemplary I have here, hard to find, doesn't bend easily, and is very even left/right.

loaded with the Sputnik (4?).

Almost an italian shave ( if I went for the Fatip...).

Forgot how cooling the menthol in the proraso white products is (for sensitive people).

The YUMA did a decent job. It is a rather mild one and requires at least 3 passes for an acceptable shave.

Nive shave - and off we go before the match starts to a nice anniversary dinner at www.landhaus-diedert.de

Cheers, Olaf
