My first attepts at DE shaving were with a plastice wilkinson sword from boots.

It lasted about 10 days before the arrival of my Merkur 38c, and then a Muhle r89, since then it has been redundant.
Yesterday I tried my old electric and it was proper `orrible. This was better, it at least shaved and didnt leave patches like the electric, although there are some bits I couldnt get they are at skin level and not really visable. On the plus side I do feel clean and presentable, and its good to know that my technique has improved quite a bit from those early days, or at least my skin has gotten used to shaving.
Roll on tomorrow, back with the R89 and a fresh Gillette yellow.
