Ive had mine quiet a while now. I was left some money when a family friend passed away. I considered other watches such as a Tag but settled for the Big Crown, it's a classic looking watch.
This has a date pointer, the photos has been taken with the iPad camera me being lazy and also using tapatalk it's a quick and easy method. But it doesn't show the detail.

Ahh I zoomed in, that's pretty much what I'm after. I missed one not long ago that had q sub-second dial.
They have a nice classic look, but with a sight edge with the pointer, to make a little bit different.
Nice choice.

A great watch and very good value for money.
I've has several Omegas and various vintage watches (especially Smiths) but this one really ticks all the boxes: seriously strong, subtly stylish, and it has a date window (I need a watch that tells me the date).
About a quarter of the way down the page here:

Seriously recommended.

Bit of blurb
This Breitling Aeromarine Chrono Avenger M1 is a 44mm Super Quartz and is water resistant up to 1000m. This is a fully functional chronometre with screw down crown. This Breitling Chrono Avenger has the deepest depth rating of any chronometre.
This watch also features a helium release valve on the side of the case at the 10 O'clock, a thicker more massive case than 300m chrono avenger, and the patented magnetic chronograph pushers can be operated even under water.
This watch is Breitling's most extreme chronometre and this is Breitling's only chronometre rated for water resistance to 1000m. The entire case, crown, pushers and strap are made from polished titanium.

Thanks,
Cost's a bloody fortune to run though, battery every 3 years is £100 and the five yearly service to renew seals stings a bit at £550.
All because only Breitling do it, that said they do strip it down to individual part level, clean, replace any worn internal parts, reassemble and polish out any marks at service time.
I used to lock it away in the safe and it only came out for special occasions, but I figured considering the running cost's it should become my daily wearer.

But I personally don't get chunky watches (not that I currently have funds for LV either).

Just paid for another *cough* Christopher Ward diver (not my picture - no-one has this watch, yet):
I really should think about buying something that isn't a diving watch...
Another Christopher Ward fan then, I am looking to buy another one when I get the cash together, you have the Yellow face version of the Tri-Tech I have........:icon_razz:
