Plastic D-E razors

For about a tenner more you're in to Edwin Jagger and Muhle territory, so why not go straight there? I suppose if you aren't clued up then this may seem interesting, but surely if you want DE on a real budget then this is the one to try:

<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.boots.com/en/Boots-Razor-Double-Edge-Razor-with-5-Blades_12442/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.boots.com/en/Boots-Razor-Dou ... des_12442/</a><!-- m -->

Has anyone tried it?

That was my first razor, gave me good shaves. I thought it was ok and a great starter razor.

Just received my Romer (via Ebay). Received it within a week, it was priced in dollars to the equivalent of 5.93 pounds in sterling (five pounds, ninety-three pence).

Feels substantial in weight with a lovely antique nickel finish, but here's the scoop: it is absolutely identical to a Parker 22R and is probably where Parker source their product. If you can be bothered to wait for a week's delivery, this price represents a serious saving.

Ah well, now here's the thing: I was sent a different model from the one I actually ordered. The item received doesn't seem to be on any of their Ebay auctions. But this is what I received from India: <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.amazon.com/Parker-22R-Butterfly-Safety-Razor/dp/B0017QSZY4/ref=cm_cr_pr_pb_t" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.amazon.com/Parker-22R-Butter ... cr_pr_pb_t</a><!-- m -->

It came in a cheapo bubble pack with 5 Wilkinson Sword blades.
