Multiple razor stands

Good thread guys, the idea of using a Test Tube Stand just came to me one day while on the bay. I took a chance and ordered one that was ending in minutes but when all painted up it looks lovely and is habdy for those razors I don't have a case for. There are a few to be found on the bay if you look under "Test Tube Stand" there is one like mine with Polypropylene sides and one with a pole instead of plastic sides. I have been in contact with both sellers and they make the pole one themselves so could customise the holes if needed.

To be honest the painting is a real pain in the ass and hard to get right without any runs and imperfections so if you are thinking about reselling I doubt by the time you got them and painted them up there would be only a tiny margin (or group buy saving) on the qty's we would need.

As for how many? if you look at the educational suppliers they do a 24 hole version  but something modular sounds like a cracking idea. Would be easy for a big manu to produce these but I doubt there is the demand to make it their while, if I worked as a spray painter perhaps I'd buy a few and take orders but I don't so the links are above, or try sweet talking your local high school Chemistry teacher and snatch one (rack that is) or lookup educational suppliers.

They seen to come in 22mm and 30mm holes, I have the 22mm and both Fatboys and the Futur fits that size.

I have obtained a few of the 'polypropylene type' from an educational supplier. These are the same as mentioned in Audiolab's last post.
The rails are made of MDF (I think) and the shape is difficult to spray for sure, so I'll leave my rack as it is.
The only ? problem one may have with these is that the longer-handled razors 'bottom out' .
My Merkur Futur and Progress 510 (with the longer handle) razors' heads stand clear of the top rail by 4-5 mm or so. I didn't realize they were that long!
The shorter ones just hang by their heads which are resting on the top rail. None of the razors seems to mind, either way!

How long are the handles on those two tall razors, Nicky? My longest is the Slim at 80mm, unless I count the Lady Gillette which is 102mm.

They're both 95 mm,give or take a smidgen.
