Don't get me wrong I've not always led a life short on excitement ( ) in fact, in one reckless incident, I wore brown socks with black Derbys! I blame that on my extreme youth at the time.

At least they were not white.
This is not an urban myth - I once actually saw someone wearing white socks with black shoes and this post has re-stimulated the true horror of that moment that I have tried so hard all these years to forget.

You are mistaken if you think this couldn't have been covered up...it happens all the time. Bigger story's than this get sunk.

Unfortunately his people really mishandled it, probably because he is generally disliked, wealthy and black but the PGA need him so they gave him their blessing.

You heard him...he's just annoyed with himself that he got caught and lost some sponsors.
