I love em, but nobody else did. Plant some in a restricted area because they are rampant and grow large. Six foot plus.

Nothing much to add to above recipe except to get yourself a little jar of asafoetida from your local Asian Supermarket

A little goes a long way and it acts as an anti flatulent. Smells unpleasant raw but when cooked out gives mild onion/leek flavour, good in dahl's too.

Just read this. Time to barricade a section of garden. I told my six year old daughter they were called fartichokes and within an hour we'd planted them in her patch of garden. It's beside the mint, so if I block both ends they can fight it out.

eat the jerusalem artichokes raw. thinly sliced as topping or snack. they taste way better raw than cooked.

No recipe but for windiest results I believe you should try curried artichoke soup.

with chick peas.....
