I've got a wooden soap bowl containing a hard cake, and have been using it a few times working on my lathering technique. (Thanks to the tutorial here). I'm loading the brush and then using a seperate bowl or palm to work the lather. But obviously, even the loading causes some initial foam to get onto the wooden bowl edges.
Simple question: When I'm done, do I rinse the whole wooden bowl and cake in water? Or do I allow it to dry out and then give it a wipe?
I notice that if I just plonk the lid back on it sometimes gets stuck down. But then I also worry that constant rinsing in water might damage the wood or waste the soap.
So to rinse or wipe? Don't laugh at me, I'm very new to this.
