As I mentioned in another post, my selection of blades in France is v.limited..
I've already exchanged some Gillette Bleue with some people here.

However I came across these yesterday;

They're made by ZAO in St Petersburg, Russia. They are a lot more expensive 4,45€ (compared to 1,85€ for the Bleue)

Anyone have any info on these? Are these the Platinum ones? How can I tell. Maybe the orange packet is just market specific?

Are they worth the extra money....

FB.

I have 2 packs of these (5's) in the house. I haven't used them yet.

They were cheap when I got them. They get slated on B&B.

I dunno how good they are. Will try them soon.

I have not tried these Blades, i know that E-Bay Seller "Rareup" has them really cheap....

I think sometimes on B&B if one hates them, then everyone seems to agree regardless just to make a post, the Supermax Blades don't get good reviews on B&B yet i find them really good, like with all blades, what may be good for some may not be for others....

i might order some of rareup, as they are very cheap, (like i need more Blades :? )

I'll pif a pack if you like. Its not in the cardboard but in the plastic slider packs.
If you can't, I'll do it, I owe Steve a favor since he's sending me some more stuff ;)

FB.

edit: I just tried them with some Nanny's, maybe it's me being a newbie, but these might be a bit much on the sharp side for my liking. (nothing the Alum can't fix, but I skipped the AS tonight!)
I'll give them another few tries before giving up though!

No I thought they were quite poor actually...Frederick sent me some in an intercontinental blade exchange, he didn't like them either.

No where near as good as Bleues IMHO but make up your own mind

EDIT: the ones I tried were in the cardboard rather than plastic holder

I'm guessing that the Ones that Rareup has in the Plastic dispenser must be NOS blades as the Bleues she has and Swedes she had..

what the hell is the matter with me, looking at yet more blades, i won't be happy until the bank is reposessing my house off me !!

I played Bangladeshi roulette with a pack of 7am blades... the blades came out of the packet as great, shocking, mediocre, shocking and mediocre - I think they might have been the ones made out of Indian 1 & 2 Rupee coins (small denomination coins in India are - or were - made of stainless steel), which were being transported over the border into Bangladesh in huge quantities to turn into 5 or 6 blades (out of a 1 Rupee coin), which were then shipped back into India and sold for Rs10 per pack or more.

Chaps

I tried these thinking "Dearer than Bleue's, must be better". Wrong! Were nowhere near the quality. Not being anywhere near an expert, could it be that some people get older stock, meaning better blades. I think this is the case with the Bleue's.

Isn't it strange that razor blades are getting worse as time goes past?
