Gillette Platinum (Are these Swede's ?)

Hi,

I have found these in a local Pharmacy, are these what everybody refers to as swedes ?

If they are i am going to go back today and buy what he has left...

Paid £1.25 per 5 pack, just bought what was left, (9 packs) and he was also selling a vulfix 1016 pure badger brush for £8.00 so i had one of those as well, he is also selling Vulfix Boar Brushes for £4.00 so i may go back tomorrow and grab a few and flog them on the bay.

That IS a good price on the swedes. You should ask him if he can get more in and stock up at that price!

I did ask him if he could get more, but no joy as he has tried to order from his supplier, i took the last of what he had, and the owner (old boy about 70 years old) kept two for himself as they are the ones he uses.

HM price is good though :lol: , i am sure some of our friends across the pond would pay it too !! ;)
 
check which of the Vulfix boars he's flogging, any of these?

He is a really nice bloke, been in a little tucked away chemist shop for years and years, we were chatting about Shaving and how that alot of people are getting back into the DE scene.

I might get friendly with him and see what other delights he can get hold of......

Just been looking at the Vulfix brush, it's lovely, (my first ever Badger :oops: !) £8.00 as well !

Feel sorry for the old boy. Down to his last 2 packs of his go to blade. Tell him to give Iridiums or Astras a try if he wants a similar blade.
 
Picked up a few a few weeks ago from an online chemist (none left when I went back) and although it has the same bar code, the lettering is slighlty different in size and the back shows different detail. The blades are different way round as well.

The direction of the blades in the pack is truly random I think - as for the lettering and different detail - that's pre-P&G & post-P&G.
