FUSION MANUAL

But, if they are causing you to have ingrown hairs etc, then things will probably improve if you move to a singe bladed razor.

Very true, I know my prep improved when I started DE Shaving but I'm sure the main reason my in-growns vanished was the change from a cartridge to a Futur.

Ive shaved with a fusion twice.

First time was when they were first released and I was shaving with a mach 3.

Second time was about a month or so ago when I'd been shaving with a merkur futur and gillette blades.

Neither shaves with the fusion were good. The second was so bad that I've had to use a mach 3 for the last wee while just untill all the red bumps and problems it caused go away.

If you are going to ditch the Fusion (very wise) and move to DE, might I suggest you get a Wilkinson Sword Classic to begin with. It is cheap (around £4) plastic, and very light, you also get some blades thrown in for the price of the razor. Then when you're ready to move on again, invest in a decent razor, the recommendations on here are worth reading.

Get a de razor,i used to suffer with the odd spot here and there every time i used gunk and a multiblade razor..not had a spot for ages now..would never go back and its an enjoyment now to shave.. :shave

He PM'd me and said

"COULD YOU PLEASE TELL ME WHERE THE CAPS LOCK KEY IS?"

Okay, not really.

As you say, it would be nice to get some feedback from him.

I had a feeling you lot were just talking amongst yourselves, not that there's anything wrong with that of course. Perhaps the OP had a look around the forum and decided it wasn't for him, or maybe he's bought a DE and on the point of reporting back.

Or perhaps he has gone back under the bridge. That is where trolls live isn't it...?

Of course i have been becoming increasingly sceptical of late, and so if i am incorrect, please accept my heartiest apology.

Perhaps we need a few of the senior members to mentor any newcomers.

They could answer simple questions like these and guide them slowly into the 'ways' of the forum.

Also this would be a good way of weeding out trolls and odd-balls.

Not a troll, or if it is/was, not very troll-tastic, I'll explain why..
  • His arguments are not directed against our "common" belief.
  • No second post to relight the argument. (very important in successful trolling is getting you audience to argue between them)
  • Most of us actually agree with his statement.
  • The tone of his post is not agressive towards the forum. (i.e. no flaming)[/list:u]
My troll-O-meter didn't even blink... If it's indeed a troll, he has much to learn on the art of trolling ;)

He has however managed to generate 3 pages of comments...? I'm still a novice at spotting trolls
