First Shaving Purchases of 2010

Boots freshwood AS and AS Balm

Oh and a bottle of old spice from Wilkinsons £5 for 150ml

My brushes were the tail end of last year.

Will probably buy more soap/cream as the time goes by.............and blades............. maybe another brush................maybe another razor?

I bought Tabac in December but it arrived in 2010!
In L'Occitane I bought Cade soap -8 euro, Cade AS, 12 euro and Concentrè Jeunesse Cade pour Homme which was reduced from 50 euro to 22 euro (got 2, great winter moisturising)
In Boots got 4 travel spray containers for Cade AS and Thayers Rose and others 2.95 each

12 Arko Sticks!!!

How many toilets do you have in your place Joe?

It was the 6 MWF that made me go :shock: I know it is sometimes cheaper to order a load, so I understand the economics. Either way that list is a lot of soap so you are well stocked.

6 cakes of MWF is a drop in the ocean. That was just a regular 'top up'. If my supply ever drops below 20 I have a bit of a panic and I re stock.

Bear in mind a cake only lasts about 6 - 9 months with daily use.

Also, I've seen so many great products vanish or change beyond recognition . . . I'm just ensuring good shaves for the foreseeable.

You have a valid point there, there have been so many great blades disappear and soaps that change, annoyingly mostly without warning. I think we are all doing that to an extent, stockpiling the stuff we like most.

My blade stock is healthy but my soap stock is not Shavocalypse ready, I have to admit I am a MWF virgin. I bought a cake last year and swore I needed to finish off some open products before starting new ones. I hear so much about it that I am leaning towards breaking that resolution.

I think a few people here apply the following:

If you try something and you like it, buy a shedload.

Oh, and that thing about buying new stuff that I mentioned in my original post? Gone. Broken.

Oh dear hunnymonster you tempted me .. I had a look at the shaving stuff on Moosie and the price differences compared to the US and in particular to Murdock London are huge.

Take a look at this
£26 here <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.murdocklondon.com/confianca-o-melhor-balsam-after-shave-250ml-p-648.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.murdocklondon.com/confianca- ... p-648.html</a><!-- m -->

vs.

£5.95 <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.moosie.co.uk/soaps/mens_shaving.asp" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.moosie.co.uk/soaps/mens_shaving.asp</a><!-- m -->

Outrageous!

What you gonna do if you buy 6 cakes one time, and they change the ingredients for those 6 cakes, you absolutely hate it, then realise your whole stock is now the new recipe and your landed with 20 cakes of it that you absolutely hate?
Im one of those people that wait till the end then go out and buy what i need. It usually needs to be bought when im skint for money aswell so try to make the old one last out as long as i can :roll:

You're probably buying mail order so you have 7 days from receipt to reject them under distance selling regulations :)

You mean you check the ingredients of the things your restocking :shock: :eek:
