I checked last night and the adjustment dial had been turned all the way up the shaft. I've managed to turn it back holding down the sring so that the adjustment dial is at the bottom of the shaft when it's on 1. It ten dawned on me that maybe the handle wasn't tightening up the extra quarter turn the way the slim does. I griped it tighter and managed to turn it a bit more and the blade gap closed. However when I turned it to open again the bottom part of the handle now turns and doesn't do anything! I have tried to remove the bottom cap inside the handle with a fine pair of needlenose pliers but the cap just turns as well and doesn't undo. It's almost as if it's threaded ie come off the threads. The silo doors are closed and I'm not sure what to do with it now. If it's had it then I don't really want to waste the money to send it to somewhere like the Razor Emporium to be told it's beyond repair. it it can be sorted and replated as new and will be similar enough to the slim then I'd keep it............... :?

The TTO part of the handle at the bottom now just turns or more accurately spins freely and the doors don't open at all.
I think it's rubber ducked!

I will send these to Dave and see if there's anything he think he can do anything with it. I'm no expert but having used the same technique to dissasemble my slim and looked at the rod in that it would appear to me that the fatboy may have had this problem before and been repaired (badly)
