That one is my actual camera. It's the J2 model. Now sadly stored to the side awaiting a decision on its fate.

I used it - strategically placed - to hide the gravy stains on my ill fitting white t-shirt

On a serious note to everyone, drop me a PM if you want the camera. Free to a good home. Seems a shame to let it be binned when someone may be able to fix it.

Have you checked to see if there is any lense firmware updates.

@CjH - no joy my good man. I updated the firmware after I first started having the problem. Tried a new memory card and the reset method today with no success. Thank you for trying to help.
