Clean razor and blade after each shave.

Simple rinse under hot tap and, depending on razor and blade, disassemble and towel dry or leave assembled to air dry for the next day’s shave. When I change razors the used one also gets a clean with a soft old toothbrush. That’s my cleaning ritual and it hasn’t changed in years.
