Classic Rock albums

I'm only a sprightly 27 but I find myself listening to more rock music from the 60's and 70's than the newer stuff.

I got the impression that some of you gents may have actually been alive back in the olden days when this sort of music was being made.

Any recommendations for great rock albums? I'd prefer albums to Best Of's or compilations.

Nothing by Rush then.

"According to the RIAA, Rush's sales statistics also place them fourth behind The Beatles, The Rolling Stones and Aerosmith for the most consecutive gold or platinum albums by a rock band."

Rush tend to polarise opinions. I think they're mint.

Thought I'd winkle you two out. ;)

Classic rock is an oxymoron, combine that with Canadian classic rock...

Any band that can have an audience sing along to an instrumental, and have air-drummers as opposed to air-guitarists, has to be special. And I don't mean that kind of special.

I'm not going to rise to this Tony ;)

Who me? Rush baiting?

After his success with "We will rock you" the Queen musical. I'm sure Ben Elton has Rush fans in his sights.

Don't know about albums PC but how about the Rush classic instrumental "Where's my thing?" or "Cut to the Chase".

Sorry...that will be the end of my Rush and Ball baiting.

Rush wouldn't give the rights to their music to a tosser like Elton.
