Arko

This thread encouraged me to try my Arko this afternoon. It lathered up fantastically with my new 2211 - I must be quite unusual in that I quite like the scent, mine has mellowed significantly during the two months since it was opened.

My parents are off to Turkey next week, so I will definitely get them to pick a few up for me.

A local turkish supermarket has the sticks for 79p each. I didn't like the scent at first but you can get used to it and it's not too strong or lasting. The lather is superb.

This guy does 12sticks for £4 +pp

I actually like the smell of ARKO as well. As has been mentioned already, the lather is really very good. The scent is quite potent, like Tabac, if you only like delcate scents, it may not be for you. At the price, I feel it is a must try.

He did, he's now sold out apparently.

Pete - whereabouts in Swindon is the supermarket doing them for 79p - easy to find by car? I often take the wife shopping at the outlet

Some stuff on that site that i didnt know was made  and those prices seem very cheap..

spoke to the lad on the phone last week and he said they weren't going to re-stock Arko soap
apparantly it costs too much for them to get it shipped over

Just back from a walk up and down my local high street, had a look into all of the Turkish Barbers (5) and Food Markets (2) and they all do the Arko sticks for the princely sum of 95p per stick. :)
