Juan - After a good clean, rinse, and dry, I apply one small drop to the centre spindle, and half a drop to the adjustment ring if the razor is adjustable. I then gently work the mechanisms through a cycle or two to distribute the oil.

Agree 100%. I have Ballistol and it's great stuff - I just find the scent a little strong for razor use.

Now - a .243 Sako bolt action? Perfect!

I am a big fan of Ballistol. It emulsifies in water and leaves a nice protective and lubricating film when the water evaporates!

The other important thing about Balistol is, when you add Balistol in warm water it has a cleaning effects like bleach! The only down side is the smell, it is disgusting.
Also if you think you put too much oil or the oil gummed up in the mechanism or found a razor that hasn't been used for a long time and the mechanism stiff etc.. First apply lighter fluid liberally(don't set it on fire!!) and let all the grime and gummed up dirt flow/wash away or even you can soak in it, and then you can apply a couple of drop oil.

I'm a big fan of OSP Soap. This has just arrived. It's a wonderful scent. It's my first OSP CREAM. Let's hope it performs as good as it smells

Took one for the team...

Stay away from this Regina boar. Looked quite dense on vendor photo but it was not. It shed massively during test palm lathering and kept on shedder during today shave session. An ebay gamble which did not pay off
