Anyone recommend a slant?

Hi guys,

I am after some advice, I have decided it's time for me to try a slant razor but I'm not sure which one to get and where to get it from.

I don't want to spend too much, up to £30 say and I have quite a tough beard so I'd be leaning toward aggressive rather than mild.

What do you all think what are the best options for me?

It is possible that there are better slants than this. But this is my "go to" razor, slant or no slant.

If you sniff around, you'll pick one up for £20-£25 used. And if you don't like it, you'll be able to sell it for £20-£25 used.

It is the classic example of a razor that is efficient but not aggressive. Really does the job for me, and I have a medium/coarse beard.

37c has been my go to for the last couple of years.

The only person on this forum who I believe has the Merkur Bakelite is @riverrun. He seems to like it, but I think both razors would be too lite for me. I like a razor to do the work.

The Merkur 45 is the best DE I own. Yes it's light (14.6g), but I don't care if a razor is light or heavy - I use NO PRESSURE regardless.
I like the blade to do the work...

I have the RazoRock German 37 slant. I think it is my favourite razor. I'd recommend it. It took me a while to get used to the fact that it looks like it's drunk and is going to kill me. But it shaves really well with less irritation (and less alum sting) than supposedly "milder" razors. I have a medium beard and sensitive skin.
