Czech & Speake No:88 Shave Soap, Cheers Steve :D

2 x Speick Shower Gel. (Smells closer to the AS)

2 x Speick Soap Bars. (Smells exactly like the Shave Sticks :hungrig )

The Speick products where purchased from Connaught, Paul has expanded the range he carries and im now in Speick heaven :D

A Feather Portable and some Barbus shaving cream from a trade with Lac1.

Some of Henk's Dutch Moss shaving cream.

Earlier in the week, Nanny's Citrus Zinger and TOBS Eton College AS from Simmo.

I was looking forward to giving some of them a run out today, after being away for a couple of days, but unfortunately we're without water at the moment. :x

I found my old Turkish barber today. He had moved from Motherwell ages ago and it turns out he has opened his own place now. £7 for a haircut, £10 for a shave.

Just got the haircut today and ended up buying an Arko stick and a bottle of "Turkish Aftershave" which is actually an 80 proof lemon cologne.

Ho Hum
Just found this bit

Ikon Bulldog OC Razor
100 Gillette Bleue Blades
12 Gillette Thins
Boots el-cheapo DE Razor
Boots Freshwood aftershave
Wilkinson Sword Shave Hydro aftershave balm.
Oh and a Gillette Techmatic razor.

This is what came in the post today from Sweden! :D (together with an Arko stick)

I much prefer a Boar rather than Badger and came to the conclusion this is a pretty good one. :)

Is it a new one or one that has already been broken in?

I really enjoy using my SOC with soaps (I used it once with a cream and it was a wee bit of a disaster), but they do take time to break in.

Its a new one, so im in for a few weeks of breaking it in!
I usually use nanny's soft soap and find the Omega 10005 boar brush I have gets it out of the pot much easier than the Pure badger brush I have, also makes a much better lather than the Badger.
The Omega Boar I have does a really good job of bowl lathering a cream too, Is this not going to be the case with the SOC?

It must be my technique that is at fault and the fact that they suck up so much water. It will lather up fine, but when I leave it in the bowl whilst completing my first pass it releases the rest of the water it has soaked up spoiling my remaining lather. I guess I just need to give it a few more firmer shakes to start with :?
